Founded in 1982 and still under the same leadership, Somerset Early Childhood Center is built on a legacy of trust, excellence, and nurturing care. We proudly serve families—often across generations—who return for the same high-quality early childhood experience rooted in strong relationships, professional teaching, and a deep commitment to each child’s growth.

Our program is grounded in a play-based, developmentally appropriate philosophy using The Creative Curriculum, with a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, inquiry, and hands-on learning. Teachers intentionally design engaging, joyful experiences that support children’s curiosity, independence, problem-solving, and foundational academic skills during the most critical early years of brain development.

What makes Somerset unique is the combination of highly dedicated educators, strong family partnerships, and an environment where every child is truly known, valued, and supported. We believe learning happens best when children feel safe, connected, and inspired, and we work closely with families to ensure each child’s individual potential is nurtured and celebrated.
